I also had a similar situation. I got a bid to DPhiE the year we had issues with being told to cut too many girls early on and ended up at like 50% of quota lol. But even as a member of the sorority that has what is arguably the worst reputation at UGA, it’s still super fun and has been so much more fulfilling than the other non-Greek organizations I’ve been involved with! Like this is what people mean when they say no chapter is bad/bottom tier, because ultimately it doesn’t matter how selective or competitive a specific sorority is during recruitment, what’s important all the amazing opportunities, experiences, and sisterhood they offer outside of the recruitment process which I think is 100% worth it at any of the 20 sororities at UGA. Being in any sorority especially at a big SEC school is truly unlike any other type of campus organization, and I think it’s easy for PNMs (and even some active members) to lose site of that when we start focusing too much on competitiveness, status, and rankings
