A big big advice and very crucial thing to know is that sorties aren’t just for having fun — there is a huge time commitment for it in terms of weekly meetings, philanthropy preparations, recruitment meetings, etc. if you can’t commit to those non-social events, maybe sorority isn’t for you. There isn’t really any sorority that is not allowed to go to mixers. But you should know that Alpha Phi is famous for their look based recruitment, and they let their members rank appearances among themselves. Think about it if that’s the kind of organization you want to go into.
