If you really want a shot at Greek life, you need to go through fall formal rush. That way each house will have the opportunity to meet you. Definitely get recs for ALL and I hope you’re transfering with a near 4.0 + campus involvement / leadership on your resume. Even if you sign up as interested for informal, the chapters are under NO obligation to invite you to any events. Informal events are all private and by invitation only. Formal rush means you will at least be invited to every single house for open house round. Even though I strongly advise against rushing as a 26 year old, I would hate for you to skip formal only to received zero invitations to informal (or have a fluke year where every house makes quota / at total and there isn’t even a house eligible for informal). You can always sign up for informal fall if formal doesn’t work out.
