To be COB eligible, a pnm must not have received a bid. If you decline a bid, you can’t rush again until Fall 2019. If you withdraw or suicide and don’t get a bid, you are eligible.... Panhellenic will set chapter total (kind of like average chapter size) a week or so after rush is over. Any chapter who is under total is eligible to COB, even if the chapter makes quota this week. If chapters are just a few girls below total, those bids usually go discreetly and directly to close friends of actives quickly so the new COB members can hop right into this pledge class. If the chapter is a good bit under, they will hold informal rush events usually in late Sept or October and it will be a second small new member class. Then the process repeats again in spring after December graduates and transfers in/out are counted.
