Preffing 2 houses instead of suiciding one won't make it any more likely you'll get your house you preffed #1 at all. I don't know who told you that info but it is so dead wrong. Either way, you will end up on the same place on the list of your 1st choice. If you suicided and you were below the cut line, you will be cut entirely. If you had preffed all your houses however, you would be able to be in the houses that you ranked lower. Seriously, there are no advantages to suiciding.
