Obviously, yes please do be yourself. Trying to fit what a sorority wants you to be will hurt your experience later on if you get that house. Come up with a list of qualities about yourself that you want them to know. We’ll prompt you and allow you to talk pretty much the entire time bc we want to know you. Don’t be shy, brag. Tell us what you like and what you want in a sorority. I didn’t make a list but then regretted not saying things later bc I didn’t think of it. Lol I’m not saying make a script but know what to answer when asked what you did during the summer other than “school (bc that was me when i rushed). Make a list of trips, activities, clubs, and interests that you’ve done in the last year or dream of doing in college. Know why you like them and what they tell about you. People may ask probing questions like “what’s the most difficult decision you’ve had to make/your proudest moment” don’t get flustered. Be comfortable with sharing something personal. It’s okay to PAUSE before talking. Those parties are fast but if we are on a great topic, we are okay talking about it until it’s talked out. We are trying to get to know you, so make sure you are coming through. You don’t have to be nervous. This should be fun. Often they’ll say not to get your hopes up, but when going into each house, treat it like you’ll be there on bid day. I promise this will help your experience. Breath and remember in each house that you are meeting your greek sisters. Pan love
