TAMU is a huge school of around 60k, so it also has a ton of other things that people join, like freshmen orgs (FLOs) and men’s orgs (Christian and non-Christian) and women’s orgs — because of those, not everyone joins Greek life... or they sometimes do both (common for girls do both, and guys sometimes do FLOs then rush), but there are people in those orgs that probably would have rushed if they were at another school that ONLY offered Greek life or where Greek life was an established thing that’s been embraced by the university — the university lately has been anti-Greek, like with screwing up frat tailgate spots last season But with all that that being said, our Greek life is still the best social scene on campus compared to other orgs. You’ll be fine if you don’t rush because there’s other things to do that you’ll probably be happy with. And if you do rush, it’s a great time!
