So I transferred here from TCU so I think I can speak a bit about the differences. For one thing, no one except for maybe nursing students take school that seriously at TCU. Lots of kids with not-so-great grades and a lot of homeschoolers. LOTS of parties, despite it being a Christian college. Fraternities throw the best parties, and sororities get preferential treatment, so I'd definitely say that Greeks at that school have more prestige. I went through recruitment like everyone else and was able to transfer to my chapter here at A&M because back at TCU it's such a bubble. I knew a few people at SMU too, and I'd say it's pretty similar to TCU, except SMU gets more wealthy California and East Coast/New England people.
