Surprised the other 2 commenters seem to think its not important...pretty much any top house is going to drop you immediately during first round if your GPA is below a 3.2 or a 3.0. Even if you have great conversations/connections with people, national recruitment standards for some houses mean they are forced to cut you no matter how much they like you if your grades are not where they are supposed to be. There are lists of "grade reports" that have to be checked between rounds to make sure the girl you talked to in that round has an acceptable GPA before you bring her through to the next round...
