There is a lot of desperation. I've seen this suggested before and I agree that the most important thing to do is to ask specific questions and ask followups until you get a specific answer. Some houses will try to trick you by says that they are really into grades or activities or something. Ask specifically "where did you rank in grades?" "Did you place in using or scandals?" etc. Don't just assume that a statement like grades are really important to us or we have such a great time at scandals means the same thing as we placed first for the last 15 years in grades or we were 2nd in using and 3 in scandals. That's the difference between a top tier house and a claim by an insecure girl that is trying to convince you of something. If you do your research you'll be able to make your own decision.
