I understand that you have doubts about what Greek Life could do for you in the long run. Especially when you're a PNM, your only experience of sorority life is through Legally Blonde. Your eyes will open immensely when you join a sorority. We all have a special connection. I see women who were in my sorority (but different chapters) all the time. You share something. My brother was in a frat at Ole Miss, his frat brother who graduated 3 years before him helped him get a job right out of college. I was scared to go through rush. I was bullied so much in middle school and high school, but I always wanted to be a sorority girl. The amount of support you have cannot be described by words. I had a breakdown about my grades and a senior who I barely knew took me to Starbucks and calmed me down. I got a text from my high school bully, my sorority sister called the number and told her off. You are sisters. I'll be honest here, Greek Life is amazing but if you're just going to rush "just to go through rush", please drop out of it during Skit round if you're still on the fence. Rush the next year unless you start to fall in love with the idea of being a sorority girl and dedicating time to your sorority. A few girls dropped from my PC because their moms made them rush or they didn't really want to be in the sorority. That was about 10 girls (from what I know) and those girls took spots away from 10 girls who have been looking at sorority bid day videos since middle school.
