Thank you so much for all of you who replied I truly appreciate it. To be clear, I would never go to even preference if I was still iffy about joining at that time. I fully understand that to accept a bid means that I am accepting an opportunity that another girl won't get. And if I do decide to join I would join for life. Bid day is a commitment and I wouldn't go back on such a commitment. I have to say, I am surprised by some of the answers and it gave me a completely new outlook on Greek life. I was only looking at how it can benefit me and ignoring the lifetime of love and friendship that it offers. I didn't start questioning my desire to join a sorority until my parents and I argued about me taking on such a heavy load and wanting to do everything and so I started to question some decisions I was getting ready to make. I truly do want to be involved in Greek life and you wonderful ladies have helped me see more to that decision. Thank you!
