Your grades and your future are very important. The reason you go to college is to get an education in hopes of having a great future. Right? All that's important but college is also supposed to be the best and most fun years of your life. You are supposed to go out and have fun, making lifelong friends, and have great experiences. While joining a sorority might not "help" your political career, it will make the best four years of your life even better. College and your experience with your sorority is what you make it. You can choose to join clubs and run for leadership positions that will be beneficial for your political career. Don't rush if you think you will just drop your sorority after a few weeks. There are going to be almost 2,000 girls who have dreamt of being in a sorority for years. If you accept a bid just to drop your sorority a few days later, you're taking away a spot from a girl who wants to be in that sorority. It's not fair.
