And here is a good example as to why it is important to have connections. Like you said, you have friends who are still sending in their Recs and these girls are desired by top houses. Obviously your friends have connections or the top sororities wouldn't have already heard about them (no packets sent in yet). We started putting our lists together in February, long before registration even opened. If we knew girls we liked who were coming next year, we made posters, added their pictures to slide shows, invited them to spring parties, talked them up to our friends. It's not too late for these girls! It IS too late for girls without connections! If we don't already know you, it's unlikely we will have time to get to know you after classes start! With classes, homework, football games, etc. we won't have time to go through 1800 packets!
