No it doesn't guarantee you a bid. As previous posters stated, if you possess all the other qualities (grades, activities etc), it helps. But remember that all the chapters have tremendous numbers of legacies, many are in house legacies, and that they are looking for girls that will fit with the girls in their chapter. I was an in house legacy when I went through recruitment and I really didn't feel a connection at that house and I didn't think I was a good fit there either. I chose to go with a different house and have never regretted it. Personally I wanted to be where I knew I was really wanted and not be known as someone they had to take because I was a legacy. Please go into recruitment with an open mind and make the right choice for you.
