First, how do you know that you'll fit into (and want) a "top sorority" at Ole Miss? You could go through rush and discover that you like any of many other sororities, including those in other "tiers". I've seen it happen. A lot (even to legacies of top chapters). Second, this is not the way to get into a sorority period. Let's say you want into KD. You go pledge KD at a small, non-competitive school where the girls are a different personality than the KD's here (not better or worse, just different). You hate that entire first year of school because you really don't love them. You transfer here. Let's say KD affiliates you. You learn you really don't fit in. Then you drop out. Also consider this: going back to using KD as an example. Let's say you wind up not even getting into KD at your smaller school. You get into X sorority. Then that kills off your entire plan to transfer to get into KD. Bottom line - this is a terrible way to get into a sorority. Come here your freshman year, rush, and find your home. Stop fixating on top tier houses - that's a sure way to have a bad rush wherever you go.
