OF COURSE your friends are going to tell you that they wanted you. They are your friends and THEY DON'T WANT TO MAKE YOU FEEL BAD. Of course they'll blame you not getting a bid on "politics" because they don't want you to feel bad. Truth of the matter is that legacies aren't required to be given bids. If the house doesn't like them, they cut them. And YOU HAD CONNECTIONS GOING INTO RUSH! You had friends in houses, meaning YOU HAD CONNECTIONS. But your connections didn't work out. The simple truth is that this happened because despite the fact that YOU THOUGHT you connected well with the houses you loved, the majority of girls in those houses WANTED OTHER GIRLS MORE THAN THEY WANTED YOU. So you were at the bottom of their list and got cut. It's a bitter pill to swallow, so of course your friends are going to try to make you feel better by telling you that they loved you and it was due to outside factors that you were cut. That's all just flattery from your friends. The proof is in the pudding! You were cut, which is proof that those houses didn't want you. THE HOUSE THAT WANTED YOU IS THE HOUSE THAT GAVE YOU A BID.
