A few questions & reactions: 1) Do you truly not fit in at your house, or have you not really had a get a chance to know people and find your niche? There's a big difference. 2) Are you okay with not being greek at all? Because if drop, that's a real possibility. Much more likely than getting a bid from a house you love. 3) At what point were you cut? The politics aren't going away. So either you manage to switch the tune when it comes to the politics and your bid, or you'll be a victim of the same system. And truth be told,. the "politics in rush, when it comes to connections/legacies" is ultimately just really easy language to be used regarding cuts. The reality is you will never know where you were on their list and neither do your friends. It may have been that you just missed the cutoff. Or it could mean that you were way at the bottom because your 5 friends loved you, and introduced you to their president, but you didn't stand out anywhere else (that's a generalization, not specific to your situation - but hopefully you understand what I mean).
