Of course tiers matter. However, for OOS students, they are mattering less and less. That doesn't mean they don't want top tier, its just that where they land doesn't hurt as much for OOS girls. Top houses are now made up of roughly 50% OOS, bottom tiers have a lot more. My mom attended Ole Miss back in the 1980's. Tiers mattered then and tiers matter now.
