This is what happens at schools where the Greek system is competetive. Nearly every girl your daughter was competing with also has stellar credentials. Not everyone gets a trophy in the real world. I didn't get my top house, but I sucked it up and went all in. And looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way. She may be devastated, but that's life. Plenty of girls didn't get anything today. But one house saw something in her that the others didn't. And for that, she should be grateful. But instead she'll just quit altogether because she didn't get what she wanted. And sadly, she will have missed an opportunity to learn resilience, which is something all Panhellenic women aspire to.
