Sophomore rush

I rushed as a sophomore, without having rushed freshman year, and I absolutely love my chapter and pledge class. First off, the girls in your PC won't even know you're a sophomore until you tell them and you yourself won't really notice the difference. Also, my PC has a ton of sophomores and we all get along with the freshman. Actually, the girls I'm closest to are freshmen. Oh and btw, you'll also become close with the sophomore pledge class! As for your chances going down because you're a sophomore, that's not true. The girls rushing you will almost always ask you if you rushed as a freshman and why/why not. Also, people say rush is harder as a sophomore, but I'd disagree. I had a perfect rush (got back full lists every round/carried all my favorites up until the end). What matters is that you need to stand out. Work hard on your GPA, get involved on campus, do community service and put it on your rush card. Your card should give us something to remember for the first round and then comes your personality and ability to talk to us. Rush is a grueling process and it's tougher as a sophomore because you don't get the luxury of meeting in your dorm every morning, but have to make it to the union in the freezing cold. You have early mornings and late nights and days will be filled with constant talking and smiling. My biggest advice to all pnms is to go into rush with an open mind and really think about why you want to join greek/what you want out of the system.
