Subject:
Truth on sorority recruitment

Poster Message:
i think a lot of the pnms on here asking for advice are forgetting that every round is fully calculated. having a good conversation at a house doesn’t come down to the girl you talked to, but to the girls running recruitment and deciding who fits best overall. you can have an amazing experience somewhere and still get dropped, and that’s just how it is sometimes. i see so many girls asking which houses they should go to for pref after sisterhood and girl… i fear 99% of the time if you’re unsure or don’t already have a strong connection, you’re getting your lowest ranked houses back. like if you got 5 houses back for sisterhood and only really liked 2 because they’re considered top houses, you’re probably getting your bottom 2 instead. the fewer houses you got back for sisterhood and if you don’t have a direct connection to any of them or already know you’re ending up there, the less likely you are to end up in the top house on your list. iu rush is fully a numbers game, and most top sororities already know who they want to pref and who they’re confident will take their bids. so stop coming on here asking which houses are better than which and which you should choose before pref even happens. go with your gut, because chances are you’re not getting the top houses you ranked back anyway. this is honestly the truth for most of the top 10 sororities here. the mid to bottom houses are way more of a free for all.
