It's not about making a sorority's minimum grade requirement. That's not nearly enough to get you past first round with some chapters. If your GPA is in the bottom compared to all the other pnm's this year, it doesn't matter if you meet a sorority's minimum GPA, your chances are less for the chapters that care about grades and need to make large releases. The average sorority GPA is 3.4. It is all about the number of pnm's that a chapter is allowed to invite back. They can't go over this number by even a single pnm so they must make cuts. GPA is not the only reason a chapter will release you but it's an easy way for them to make releases if they are a 'grades house'. If they care less about GPA and more about your hotness then there's that.
