GPA: beware- the biggest GPA cuts are made after philo so don't be shocked. For the most part, if you do not match the grade requirement, you will likely get cut even if you had great conversations, it's nothing personal, just a chapter rule. If this is you, and your sisterhood lists are shorter than expected, PLEASE give all the chapters left a chance and do not drop :) stick it out to pref and I promise you'll feel differently about dropping once the initial shock of getting dropped fades. EVERY GIRL I KNOW WHO DROPPED DURING SISTERHOOD REGRETTED IT!!!! Also, there are 1 or 2 exceptions, so if ur invited back with a low gpa thru sisterhood that's a good sign, but INCREDIBLY rare, so don't count on it. Informal recruitment: Informal recruitment is NOT a second round of rush. VERY few chapters participate and the bids they give out (1-5 tops) are saved for the people who they know personally who maybe got dropped accidentally or didn't have the GPA to go thru regular recruitment. If you don't have at least 1 bestie and 5+ other sisters to vouch for you, informal will likely not be an option for you. Don't drop thinking this is plan b :) "I had such an amazing conversation and I met their GPA expectations, why was I dropped?": Sometimes, chapters will drop you if they see you fitting into another chapter better after they talk to you. For example you could go to AXO and the girls will love you, but think "She reminds me of my good friends in gphi or DG, I think she would fit there so much better!" and drop you to redirect you towards another chapter. REMEMBER- girls who rush you know the exact vibe of what it is like to be in their house, so even if you love the girl you talked to and can see yourself being friends with her, shes also evaluating how well you would mesh with the rest of her friends to see if you would realistically fit in with the house as a whole. EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU WOULD FIT IN THERE, YOU GENUINELY HAVE NO IDEA UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE HOUSE YOURSELF, SO TRUST THE PROCESS! This is why it is so important to go in with 0 expectations or "favorite" houses on your mind, because the house you think is your dream house may not fit your vibe in the way you have worked yourself up to believe it would. General greek rank stuff: during rush greek rank turns into a slander fest. its always other chapters or frat guys trying to twist the pnm opinions, so don't listen to it because its MEANT to manipulate pnms and eliminate competition. also, you only know what being in a house is like if ur ACTUAllY in the house, so don't listen to posts that are like "this house has the worst sisterhood blah blah blah" because literally how would anyone know unless they lived there themselves (and chapters obvi will not post negatively abt themselves so that's how you know these posts are meant to trick you) just trust ur gut when talking to the house urself, don't focus on the bs posts you see on here, its all subjective to opinion rankings and pairs: I don't think any of you know how pairs work yet, which is normal, but they change literally every weekend. you will be paired with different frats and sororities on rotation each week, so don't think you have to be in a certain sorority to see a certain frat, you're literally gonna meet everyone, I promise. Also as a girl, you can usually go to any frat each weekend even if you're not paired there that night, simply based on the fact that ur a girl. Also- RANKINGS ARE BASED ON OPINIONS LOL
