Hey girlie! I was also intimidated rushing as a sophomore from a lower-income background, I totally get it. It’s not “weird” or looked down upon whatsoever! I absolutely love my sorority and I have never felt left out. I would recommend doing some research on the different chapters because I know that some of them offer scholarships to offer a bit of financial help. I hope you decide to go Greek, good luck on your journey! P.S. informal recruitment (offered fall and spring semester) is much more laid back and little less expensive. If you do decide to go with formal recruitment PHA offers free rental dresses donated by members of every chapter called “The Dressing Room”! There are plenty of recourses offered to members that need a little extra help. :)
