<strong>Subject:</strong><br />Srat Recruitment Countdown<br /><br /> Poster Message:
With everyone coming back from thanksgiving break, this is a good time for PNMs to start paying attention. So if you’re a PNM, this applies to you. First, this is a good time to start fixing your social media accounts. That means possibly archiving inappropriate instagram pictures, vsco pictures, untagging yourself from bad pictures, making your tiktok private or just privating certain tiktoks. Inappropriate stuff can be content with alcohol/other illicit things, pictures/videos at parties, obviously looking drunk, etc. This is your last opportunity to reach out to sorority girls you know, because from here until recruitment is over we will have to ignore/ghost you as we’re not allowed to talk to you. So if you’re really close to a sorority girl, reach out to her now saying you’re going through recruitment and that you’re really excited, and that’s it. Definitely do not go to frats for the rest of the semester. If something happens, it’ll be very fresh in sororities’ memories for recruitment. DO NOT get in trouble with IUPD, Bloomington PD, your RAs, etc. Fun fact, sororities have access to your records if you’ve gotten in trouble with the cops. Focus on your grades and finish the semester with a solid GPA, at least above a 3.0 if you want to have a real shot at recruitment. And lastly, don’t go around following sororities instagrams, requesting random sorority girls you don’t know on ig, etc. You won’t get “a good read” on ANY sorority from their social media. The whole point of recruitment is that THIS is your opportunity to truly get to know each chapter. You’re just messing with your own head by trying to get “a head start”. And most of all, don’t let any other PNMs sway you or tell you “what houses are good”. That’s bs.
