Here is the thing, yes Greek life at IU is dying. IU admin hates the fraternities and has been trying to kill fraternities for the past 15-20 years. Over that time frame, Sammy, Alpha Sig, Theta Chi, Beta, Pike, SAE, Delta Chi, AEPi, Phi Delt, Sigma Pi, Kappa Sig, Acacia, ATO, Phi Psi, Delts, Sigma Nu, TKE, Skulls have all been suspended. IU has kicked off more chapters than any other school in the country. It has forced at least 5 chapters to lose their houses, probably a $25mm loss in total. IU isn't interested in due process as there are no real rules. You can be punished for absolutely anything and there are no standards. The only way forward is to find a way to legally separate the Greek system from IU. That takes leadership from IFC and from alumni boards. At this point, it also likely requires legislative action at the state level due to Bloomington zoning laws.
