My dad was a phi delt in the past around this time, had to do the elephant walk. Fortunately they just held hands through each others legs and walked in the circle. His stories of the fun parts sound way better than anything now tho. Seniors stayed involved with fraternities, people really only drank beer so people didnt fall victim to black outs nearly as much, people went out to have a good time instead of finding someone to sleep with, and pledgeship, while harder, was also way more about establishing bonds with brothers.
