If their national is involved and wants to keep the chapter, it could lead to a full membership review, which is basically a death sentence to a chapter. National will kick out the bad apples inside the brotherhood and work with the remaining good brothers. The problem is that bonds of brotherhood is now broken and will lose the interest of the remaining brothers. They will need to start re-organizing from square one.
