It’s not a bad thing to be in any house. It is a bad thing to be paraded around to 22 houses thinking you have a chance at all of them when only about 5 will consider you. Knowing now is better than finding out in two days when all your friends have 9+ houses and you have 4. Getting huge cuts from houses isn’t a fun or good thing and I’m pretty sure we all know that. As a freshman if I only got 4 houses back even if they were the top 4 I would’ve been extremely upset and confused as to why soooooo many houses would’ve dropped me after only one round. They should know what’s about to happen and prepare for it instead of feeling like the odd man out and being so upset they drop instead of going to their philanthropy rounds.
