I never comment on stuff, but I opened this post and saw the most stereotypical pairing of words in greek life at IU (Sig Ep and nerd). Why do other frats/srats always assume every Sig Ep is a nerd?? I think it's because most of them are in Kelley, and dumb girls on the outside are so amazed by that, so Sig Ep got that reputation. The kid's response above is clearly a rare case in that house (assuming he is in Sig ep and a Kelley major). Most of their Kelley boys prolly have a lower gpa, like 3.5 or below, yet they still get called nerds somehow? An actual nerd knows that Kelley isn't hard. Anyone's daddy can teach them the stock market. If you don't have a 3.7+ gpa in Kelley, you aren't a nerd or super smart. Comp sci, engineering, mathematics, and other STEM majors take actual smarts, so I would cut them some slack when it comes to gpa and consider them the real nerds. Even I am in Kelley, and I do not get the hype. The only way to be a real nerd and flex in Kelley is having a high gpa or workshops.
