I kind of agree with you ^ If you aren't secure enough with yourself to choose the chapter you like best regardless of where it falls on the social spectrum, then maybe you aren't cut out for Greek life. If you need Greek life to have a social life, ask yourself why? I went into recruitment with some favorites, mostly because I knew girls in the chapters, but I did go in with an open mind. I was more comfortable in the so-called middle and bottom chapters because I felt like they valued the same things I did. I wasn't looking for a sorority to make my social life, I had one before I joined. There were lots of times my chapter was having a pair with one fraternity, but I chose to go to a different one to see friends or a certain band. My sisters understood and it was no big deal. I was never forced to go to a party to up our social game. I joined a sorority because I wanted to make more girl friends. Most of my friends from high school were guys and I needed to learn how to better navigate female friendships. I am happy with my choice and my sincere hope is that everyone is happy with theirs on Tuesday night.
