I just figured out why SLL deleted the last post....Bloomington just lost in court on its zoning regarding Greek housing....previously, in for a house to be used as a fraternity house, the organization within it had to be recognized by the uni. This was literally the only remaining benefit for continued association with IU. I wasn't going to bring it up and was going to let future legal council inform you on how to work around this rule but it looks like it was just struck down by the courts. google Manley Burke's fraternal law newsletter from this month that gives more details.....long and short, the biggest reason for remaining associated with IU has just been removed..... I will provide more details in a week or so.
