People like to put them down because of the house situation. In reality, there are schools all across the country where no sorority has a house and they all live and exist like ASA does at IU. It is an experience getting to live in a sorority house but you do outgrow it after a while. Why else do you think so many girls get their own places after their live in requirements? I know some move out because of internships and student teaching and the like but living in the house for a year or two then moving to your own place is part of the maturation of becoming an adult. When I went through had I fallen to ASA I would have gladly taken a bid from them because I wanted to be part of Greek life and part of a sisterhood. If not having a house is an absolute deal breaker then don't join, otherwise they are a good house with some really sweet girls. Sisterhood is forever a house is only temporary.
