Honestly, not having a house can be a positive. You can still live with sisters, but no house rules. If you want to drink in your apartment/house, you can - no drinking in chapter houses. You don't share a bathroom with a ton of girls, you have the privacy of your own room and space. If you want your boyfriend to stay over, he can, no boys over night in a chapter house. Also, most upper class men move out of the chapter house after a year or two (depending on chapter rules), so living in isn't for all years anyway. Because you have to make an effort to see each other, you value your time together more. There's also less drama bc you don't all live together.
