Even if you do have connections you probably will still end up getting dropped as a sophomore w under a 3.0 after philanthropy. Go into rush w this in mind and focus on the houses that want you bc first round will be virtually irrelevant for low gpa sophomores, you just get cut no matter how much they loved/hated you
