What you wrote is true for past years, this year IU is not setting quota until today. They are seeing how many women stay in the process. It's not exactly like the rest of the world, but it's getting there. The more women drop, the smaller quota gets. Also, at Bama over 2000 women start the process, this year around 1600 started at IU. All chapters are housed at Bama, there isn't an obvious have, have not situation. Also, fraternities pair with a wider range of sororities at Bama than IU fraternities do. I have a friend from high school who is in a bottom tier chapter there and they are not made fun of at all, they have a great social calendar, and girls do not drop rather than take a bid. Only a small percentage of girls at Bama live in their sorority houses, so the house itself is not a big deal. Comparing us to Bama is like comparing apples and oranges.
