Of the 600-700 that you mention will be "cut", several of those don't actually come back to rush doe to grades. Also, several quit because they can only imagine themselves in one house and then they get cut. The number of girls who go through the entire rush with good grades and an open mind and don't get in any house is not that high. But yes, the process can feel brutal. We needn't scare girls with faulty numbers.
