Some sororities do pre recruitment, some do not. The only way to do so is to be somebody's guest. So once you begin to meet more girls, I'm sure you will go to more than just one. In my opinion, recs can't hurt. I don't think they give a lot of help, but in no way will they hurt your chances of anything, so I say go ahead and get some recs to send in. Just make sure you get involved immediately on campus so you can list that when you sign up for rush. (IUDM, BMOC, SAB, etc.) A lot of girls rely on their high school activities but they wanna see what you put into college life right away. Good luck girly :)
