Are you really saying that someone who only aimed as high as attending IU is much more worldly and sophisticated than someone who grew up in the third largest metropolitan area in the nation? And if you were a bit more informed you would understand that every land grant university and every institution that offers bachelor's, master's and Ph.D.'s is, by definition, a research university (not just those in the Big Ten). And if you really knew what you were talking about you would know that a school is either an Ivy or not, that there is no such thing as a "lesser Ivy." And you also would know that not one of the programs you mentioned is in the Top Ten nationally. But, hey, you're from Indiana, so you know it all.
