The real issue with the Greek system, especially with sororities, is that most, not all, but most, people only see it as a forum for partying. The focus isn't on sisterhood or community service or most other things, it's really just a mechanism for people to go out. Example is when girls go out the day or two after getting their bids. The second girls get into houses, one of the first things they do is party. What does that say about the values of your sorority? And the other thing is, people somehow think that social preference equates strength of a sorority... what it should reflect is do girls become better leaders as a result of their greek experience, do they improve their grades... do they grow as people? Maybe if we ranked those things we would see change in the Greek system. And whoever said respect is totally right... so many people in our greek system are just so disrespectful. Don't get a big head just cause you get in a house that is has hot girls in it
