Finding the right fit is important. You’ll get to meet all 12 chapters and then select which 9 you want to return to. After day 3 you will choose 6 chapters to return to. Then after day 6 you will select which two chapters you want to pref. It is extremely important to choose your cuts carefully. Some chapters that have lower membership and struggle retaining members (have lots of members who drop out throughout the year) have more open slots to fill. That means they can invite more girls back each round. So even if you cut them and you do not get asked back to all of the chapters that you listed above them, they can (and likely will) still ask you back. So if you choose 6 chapters after day three and you only get invited back to 5 of the ones you selected, you still have a high likelihood of being invited to return to the chapters that you placed lower because they cannot be as selective and cannot cut as many women each round as the chapters that have a higher number of members. And they won’t know you placed them lower and tried to cut them either. You should always place the chapters that you vibe with at the very top of your list but if you’re on the fence about one or two, this strategy can help you because you know that if a chapter doesn’t ask you back for some reason then there are a few chapters that will fill that hole on your schedule and invite you back even if you didn’t place them in your top. This is even true for pref night when you have to select two chapters to return to. If one or both of those chapters you put down to pref do not ask you back, there is still a very high chance that the chapters with lower retention will still have you on their lists. Even if you didn’t even visit that chapter in the prior round (the cut to 6), those chapters can still invite you back. Remember, they have more slots to fill. Placing the houses you’re vibing with at the top of your list is the right move. But if you have a few you’re choosing between toward the bottom of your list, this might be helpful to help you choose the chapter that’s more of a stretch knowing that the other chapters will be there if you don’t get asked back by all of the chapters you put higher on your list.
