What's your question? If those girls from your school are in sororities at other schools then it means nothing except they could write a rec for you. You don't need connections to get a bid at UT. Just be prepared for rush and do your best and you can get a bid. All houses are great here. But remember, ALL pnm's have good grades and extracurriculars and community service. It's hard to stand out in recruitment but don't get discouraged.
