Ok, respectfully, that's just not accurate and you shouldn't be confusing PNMs with that. "Quota additions" do NOT mean everyone signed up for recruitment receives a bid. It means that everyone that maximizes their options on preference round receives a bid. If I'm speaking honestly, all this does is add girls on to new member classes of lower tier houses they didn't want anyway. (But if they do want A house and aren't picky at all - sure, I suppose that's a good thing for them.) For example, if a PNM goes through recruitment and gets released (dropped) from every house prior to say, Philanthropy or Sisterhood Round, there is no coming back. Once you've been released from recruitment, your only options are snap bids / participation in the COB process (which - you guessed it - gets you right back to a lower-tier house. (Kappa's a few years ago was an exception and not the norm.) It's really something Panhellenic should be working on - providing clear and concise language on their materials vs. getting PNM's hopes up that "there's a bid for everyone" at the end of this process. It's untrue and unfair for incoming PNMs to think it's that inclusive and be absolutely heartbroken. Incoming PNMs - take recruitment seriously. Don't wait to the last minute to submit your Letters of Recommendation, register for recruitment, or reach out to any friends you may know in the houses.
