Yes, 100% agree that you are absolutely going to get a fabulous four-year experience at UT in any one of those groups. And then you leave UT. The other groups' alum bases are not the same. Their events are not the same. Their connections to the social fabric of cities and fundraising and philanthropic charities and insider circles are NOT. THE. SAME. And it's not that I don't admire those chapters for assessing the landscape and figuring out what to do to up their game. It's impressive. But there is simply no substitute for the ties that bind the original Big 6 in life after college. Maybe there will be eventually. But it does not yet exist.
