While you’re focused on the flashy symptoms; delusions, paranoia, word-salad - you actually would probably be surprised to learn the most devastating symptom is what I’d simply call ‘cognitive discomfort’. Though it is essentially impossible to describe the sensation of being inside one’s head, it kind of feels like sand coursing through your brain. So yeah, people with psychosis say bizarre things and think things that aren’t true, but they are also in a type of pain words can not really voice. Don’t forget that.
