They are not a dry fraternity, they are only supposed to be dry in house. They can still have alcohol for off campus events, tailgates, brotherhood retreats. It's a major reason why they are viewed as more boring than other mid frats but their strong name in this region attracts a lot of good guys and girls will gravitate towards that even if they are tame socially.
