COB is a great way to get in a house! I can't speak for other houses, but my house probably wouldn't or would take someone they dropped depending on why they were dropped. If it was early for grades or something, then we would probably still pass. As recruitment goes on, houses have to drop girls they honestly would have liked to keep. In those cases we'd likely take them in COB. Good luck!
