Subject:
Help me understand a single preference

Poster Message:
If pref results in one house that is a good match and one that isn't, single preference seems to be the way to go. Since we can't refuse the invite, it's fine to go and be nice, maybe even meet a new potential friend. But, you can't not go even if you know that the house isn't right for you. So, single preference seems to be the way to go. However, it sounds like if you go single and aren't in the top of the list, you won't move up if some PNMs are pulled to other houses. It doesn't actually work like that, right? The bids go in order of house preference regardless of whether you have one or two houses, right?
