Being good and flowy is fine but they need to see if you FIT with them and you need to see who you FIT with. Three things: Give insight into your personality. You don't want to be just a nice enough generalist. What are you really LIKE? Does that resonate with any of the members you talk to so that you feel a real connection beyond surface coversation? Show that you are INTERESTED in that chapter. If there is any question about that you won't get ranked as high. Demonstrate that you have something to OFFER the chapter as a member. What do you have going for you that they would want, other than being a good and flowy talker?
